What We Do

The role of BDMA is to ensure smooth functioning of the industry and resolve industry issues efficiently and appropriately. We also conduct industry related workshops from time to time, for the purpose of knowledge sharing and shaping up the industry for a better future.
 
The goal of the Association is to represent those in the Diamond Cutting and Polishing Industry as a whole, through advocacy to advance the interests of the industry by giving one voice to the members of the Association.
 
The main objective of the Association is to represent Diamond Manufacturers of Botswana. The Association aims to assist in the understanding and implementation of policies in areas such as beneficiation, localization, employment, immigration and compliance with national and international laws and regulations. The BDMA strongly stimulates & displays the impact of the industry’s socio-economic benefits to the citizens of Botswana, by way of beneficiation, employment creation and skills transfer. Diamonds being the life line of the country’s economic development.

Services

BDMA is a crucial partner to boost the success of the diamond industry in Botswana. The services it provides to its members helps to develop their business by finding optimal solutions and answers for their challenges. BDMA organizes regular meetings & workshops with the relevant authorities for its members and discuss industry wide solutions and facilitate knowledge transfer to its stakeholders.

As an important stakeholder of the industry BDMA has a significant impact on policy & decision-making with the authorities for the Diamond industry in Botswana. Participate in Sector Level Consultative meetings with the Ministries & the Mining and Sorting Organizations in Botswana.

Networking Opportunity

Networking with the relevant stakeholders and other members is vital for the success of any diamond business in Botswana. From contacts with local authorities and government and even the facilitation with bodies like BITC, etc.
