Minister of Minerals & Energy Officially Hands over the Solar Roof Top Donated by BDMA & Solar Power.
The Minister of Minerals & Energy, Hon. Lefoko Maxwell Moagi applauds BDMA (Botswana Diamond Manufacturers Association) for taking the lead in this CSR initiative of donating a 42 KW Solar roof top to Ramotswa Center for Deaf Education and also for supporting Botswana’s social impact through its inclusive workforce. He commended the diamond cutting & polishing industry for training & employing over 50 employees with hearing impairments. While this industry has shown sincere commitment towards Skills transfer and localisation of its workforce, it has contributed to the economy of Botswana by adding value and beneficiating Botswana’s natural diamonds. This industry has been exemplary of the government’s vision of exporting value added products from Botswana.
